Michaud - Duffy

Falmouth - Wood Neck Beach in Falmouth was the setting for the wedding of Joy Michaud and Matthew Duffy on September 19, 2009. Justice of the Peace Melinda Gallant officiated.

A reception at Heritage Museums and Gardens in Sandwich followed the ceremony. The couple chose to hold their wedding on Cape Cod to celebrate their families' many years of summers spent there.

The bride is the daughter of Theresa and Ken Michaud of Wilmington. The bridegroom is the son of Constance and John Duffy of Attleboro.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Lynn Doyle, childhood friend of the bride, was the matron of honor.

The bridesmaids were Kerrin Duffy, sister of the groom, and Erin Hayes and Jenna Federer, both college friends of the bride.

The flower girl was Sarah Michaud, niece of bride.

Andrew and Brent Duffy served as best men for their brother.

The ushers were Kevin Michaud, Doug Michaud, and Dave Michaud, all brothers of the bride, and John Murphy IV, college friend of the groom.

The bride graduated from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She works at American Tower Corp. in Woburn.

The bridegroom graduated from Villanova University in Villanova, Pa. He works at Collective Brands in Lexington.

After a wedding trip to Nantucket, the couple is residing in Malden.
