Blake - Dibbert

Providence - Carolyn Marie Blake and Michael Steven Dibbert were married on July 11, 2009 at the St. Dominic Chapel at Providence College. The Rev. John S. Peterson, O.P., chaplain of the Providence College Alumni Association, officiated.

A reception at Highland Country Club in Attleboro followed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Daniel T. Blake of Attleboro. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas S. Dibbert of Chapel Hill, N.C.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a silk satin-faced organza and English net fitted gown with all-over embellishments of Alencon lace floral motifs trimmed with crystals and pearls. She also wore her cousin's veil, which was trimmed with the same lace motifs.

A bouquet of white roses, stephanotis, freesia and stock completed the ensemble.

Ms. Martha Blake of New York City served as maid of honor for her sister.

The bridesmaids were cousins of the bride Mrs. Elizabeth Paige of Walpole, and Ms. Susan Eldred of St. Andrews, Scotland; and friends Ms. Kristen Zaleski of Las Vegas, Nev., Ms. Kathleen Bowler of Boston, and Mrs. Terri Florio of West Warwick, R.I.

Mr. Brian Dibbert of Chicago, Ill., served as best man for his brother.

The ushers were Mr. Noah Fisher of Chapel Hill, N.C., Mr. Patrick Fitzsimons of Oviedo, Fla., Mr. Paul Scruggs of Bethel, N.C., Mr. Christopher Grilli of Manchester-by-the-Sea, and Mr. John Colavincenzo of Cambridge.

The bride graduated from St. Mary Academy-Bay View, Providence College, and St. Louis University School of Law in St. Louis, Mo.

She is an associate trial attorney with Flynn and Wirkus in Quincy.

The groom graduated from Durham Academy in Durham, N.C., the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, N.C., and is a candidate for a master's degree in educational administration from Boston College.

He is an English teacher and coach at Boston College High School.

After a wedding trip to Grand Cayman, the couple resides in Norwood.
