North Attleboro - James and Rosemary Seekell are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Lee Seekell, to Derek Jeffrey Williams, son of Raymond and Maria Williams of Wallingford, Conn.

A wedding ceremony is planned for October 2010 at St. Mary's Church in North Attleboro, with a reception following at the Lake View Pavilion in Foxboro.

Ms. Seekell graduated from North Attleboro High School in 2003 and earned a master's degree in occupational therapy from Worcester State College.

She is employed as an occupational therapist at Gaylord Hospital in Wallingford, Conn.

Mr. Williams graduated from Lyman Hall High School in Wallingford, Conn. He earned a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and has recently completed his master's degree requirements.

He is a mechanical engineer at Pratt and Whitney in East Hartford, Conn.

The couple recently purchased a home in Middletown, Conn.
