ABOUT THE COUPLE
How they met:
Andrea's best friend, Jennifer Horan, is the groom's cousin. After an introduction, Andrea and Joe became friends in 2006 and started dating in 2007.
How he proposed:
Joe proposed to Andrea in their home in February 2010. He came home from work with flowers, which he never buys, according to Andrea, so she knew something was up.
Bride's education and occupation: Andrea graduated from King Philip Regional High School in 2002 and earned a bachelor's degree in business administration from Merrimack College in 2006. She is a senior cost and schedule controller for Raytheon Company in Sudbury.
Groom's education and occupation: Joe graduated from Norton High School in 2001 and earned a bachelor's degree in finance from the University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth in 2005. He is a senior application specialist for Meditech in Framingham.
THE CEREMONY
The ceremony:
Outside on the back lawn at the Warren Conference Center and Inn in Ashland.
The gown:
Andrea wore a light gold satin gown with a beaded diamond white lace overlay designed by Maggie Sottero.
The bouquet:
Her bouquet featured cream spring roses, ranunculus and lady's mantle.
THE WEDDING PARTY
Maid of honor:
Jennifer Horan, a high school friend of the bride and cousin of the groom, served as maid of honor. Anne Giordano, cousin and college roommate of the bride, was the matron of honor.
Best man:
Mike Silva and Josh Reilly, friends of the groom from elementary school, served as best men.
Bridesmaids:
Kerry Demone, sister-in-law of the bride, Kristie LaRochelle and Ashley LaRochelle, sisters of the groom, and Lauren Miele, college roommate of the bride.
Groomsmen:
Jim Demone, brother of the bride, Anthony Deyoe, college friend and future brother-in-law of the groom, Brandon Bettencourt, John Jurgilewics and Dave Glassman, all friends of the groom.
THE RECEPTION

The reception:
The reception was in the Hayden Lodge at the Warren Conference Center and Inn.
The cake:
The cake was vanilla with a cappuccino mousse filling.
First song:
"Baby, I love your way" by Peter Frampton. Andrea says they chose it because it's upbeat and not too sappy. Also, Joe wanted the first song to be one that often gets played on the radio, so when he hears it, he'd think of their wedding day.
The menu:
Baked haddock and filet mignon with prawns.
What made the day unique:
The night of Andrea and Joe's wedding was also the the night of Game 7 of the NHL Eastern Conference Finals game between the Boston Bruins and the Tampa Bay Lightning. The DJ was giving guests updates on the game as the night went on, Andrea said. Some guests watched the game on an iPhone, and when the Bruins pulled off the win, Andrea says everyone celebrated with hugging, dancing and even a few tears of joy.
Most touching moment of the day:
When Joe's grandmother made it out onto the dance floor in her wheelchair.
Honeymoon destination:
Playa del Carmen, Mexico.
